YANGACHI lives and works in Seoul, Korea

I was born in Busan in 1970. I’ve been practicing fine art ever since receiving my bachelor and masters degrees.  I can say art work is still vague to me. I suppose everyone else thinks the same.

It seems that there is one thing that faintly links me with other people: an educated language. But his might not be the case.

I guess I have had an interest in media and fantasy for several years. I used to believe that the media had gained enough power to control the world, but not I think otherwise. Rather, the media plays a supporting role to those running the world’s capitalist systems. How strange!

Thus, I’m happy these days.  

My third solo-exhibition was recently held called Middle Korea: Yangachi episode I. It is the first story in the Middle Korea series with the second to be held this June. I hope you enjoy and look forward to it!
