ARTIST STATEMENT

Through photography I am attempting to catalog and organize all things relevant. Growing up I was told that I had artistic talent which I immediately associated with drawing. I never really liked drawing or the results I got while practicing. When I was able to embrace photography I realized I had found a medium that accompanied and complimented any talent that I may possess. I have come to realize that I am good at choosing what looks good, be it by itself, or matching it up with other images that compliment each other. I found out that what I had was taste rather than talent. In my world I know what looks good and why it’s relevant to my process.
