ARTIST STATEMENT

Sometimes I make things for money, sometimes not. Most of my work comes as the result of a specified challenge, however amorphous that may be. I like thinking about thinking, gradually becoming confused, becoming uncomfortable, taking a break, going for a walk with my dog, realizing that I’m still thinking, realizing that I quite like being confused and the vast openness it tends to create, feeling relaxed, finding focus, feeling more and more comfortable and then confronting the initial challenge which, by that point, always seems to have become something all together different. So I mostly make up stories and sometimes I film them.
