I've been involved in skateboarding culture for more than 20 years ever since I received a skateboard as a present from my cousin in 1986. I spent my adolescence skating and listening to hip-hop music and I've also become interested in painting and design as my hobbies. After growing up in this culture, I’ve gained a good sense of where I am and what I’m doing these days.  But honestly, living this kind of lifestyle is difficult in Korea. I‘ve recently been working on a new project, the INFRENS design company, and have been trying to develop my own style as a fine artist and designer. My pictures for this show are of three distinct subjects: the Korean traditional religious service for my grandfather on Lunar New Years, Dongho-Daekyo, my local spot, and Check, another skate spot. These are all places that I have spent a lot of time in and will continue to in the future.
