I had a really great time participating in this project. Though being a photographer myself, I don’t commonly work with the “snapshot" approach. I typically create my own scenes for my photographs, so it was a really nice change of pace to have the opportunity to walk around, shoot my own environment and know that many others were going to be able to see the places I see on a daily basis. I found it challenging at some points, particularly filtering out what I personally thought could be an interesting photograph, but also relaxing. I usually am used to concerning my attention towards the technical aspects of photography, but when using the point and shoot cameras that were given to us, I found I lost most of the control I typically have when shooting. I was more aware of my surroundings and had to rely on what was already there rather than focusing my attention on creating a scene myself.
